Meet Graeme Reid & Gaye Erickson
Eco Logic Concepts
Directors: Graeme Reid and Gaye Erickson
Gaye & Graeme have over 30 years experience in the horticultural industry, in all sorts of roles.
Graeme and Gaye have been business partners for 30+ years. They are Pongakawa, Bay of Plenty locals and have lived here for majority of their lives. Over this time Graeme & Gaye have held multiple roles within the horticultural and agricultural industries, and over 30 years ago they noticed a gap in the market for good quality, organic biological products for orchardists and soils - and Eco Logic Concepts was born!
Since then, Graeme & Gaye has developed an impressive portfolio of biological products that have lead to improved soil health, increased yield and bigger, healthier plants. They have a diverse range of experiences and qualifications in the following fields;
-
Forestry nursery with hardwoods and other alternatives to pine
-
Fruit tree nursery with pears, nashi, avocados, kiwifruit, pip fruit and sub tropicals
-
Medicinal herbs nursery where he grew for growers, also in the field and was involved in the full spectrum of growing, harvesting, processing and marketing
-
Fully qualified automotive technician (Graeme)
-
Trained as a Soil Foodweb advisor (now called a friend of the soil foodweb) under Dr Elaine Ingham from the USA, a guru of microbiology
-
Have attended numerous organic courses including with Arden Anderson who specialises in biological farming in the States.
-
30 years hands on experience from orchard development to production and marketing.
-
Fully biogro certified for over 30 years (biogro number 233) and certified as a primary producer (produce grown) and an input supplier (eco-products we sell)
Outside of the shed, Graeme & Gaye enjoy the great outdoors and spending time with their families.
